About me

I am a writer and English teacher living in Regional Victoria, Australia. When I’m not in the classroom attempting to inspire the next generation to love literature, I write fiction, essays and reviews. My work has been published in various journals such as Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, Shooter and Westerly.

I am interested in how different characters co-exist in small communities. I am currently working on an anthology of stories that explores the various perspectives of students and teachers within a school, using my experience as a teacher as a springboard for ideas.

As a horsewoman from country NSW, I also love to write about the colourful horse world, reminiscing about my past life in the competitive equestrian industry, and indulging in my obsession with horses as someone who never grew out of the ‘pony mad’ phase.
